EDMONTON AB - In the first game of the regular season the Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder, took on the visiting University of Alberta - Agustana (UAA) Vikings. In this close match between two teams living just a few km apart, their competitiveness rose and the Vikings walked away with a victory after just 3 sets.
This won't be the easiest win of the Vikings career, as all three sets were close in points, winning 25-18, 25-22 and 25-21. The Vikings digs were too much to handle for the home team, as they contributed to 14 and 13 points in the last two sets.
The Thunder and Vikings will meet again tomorrow night and the Thunder look to even the score and come out of the series tied at 1.
