EDMONTON, AB (January 29, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder men's volleyball team wrapped up their weekend series Saturday night as they welcomed the King's Eagles. The night ended up not going the way the Thunder wanted, as the Eagles took control from start to finish to take the match in a 3-0 win.
The King's came out firing on all cylinders by taking the lead early in the first set, 25-15. The Thunder worked hard to rally but the Eagles momentum ultimately led to their 25-13 second set win. The third set was the same story, as the Thunder couldn't find their game and the King's Eagles took the last set 25-14.
The One Team Sports players of the game were #4 Tanner Piers for the King's Eagles and #7 Hunter Ashburn for Concordia Thunder.
Your Concordia Thunder returns next weekend to play the Augustana Vikings on Friday, February 4th.
