Thunder answer back with a win against visiting GPRC

Thunder answer back with a win against visiting GPRC

EDMONTON AB - Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) faced the visiting Grand Prairie Regional College (GPRC) in their back-to-back weekend series. GPRC Wolves took down the Thunder in their first match on Friday night and the Thunder were able to bounce back and split the series 1 game a piece.

The Thunder took a commanding lead in the first set, being up by as many as 10 points and ended the set with a score of 25-19. #3 Ryan Teliske went on a massive serving run to end the second set, the final score of the set was 25-12. The Wolves won the 3rd set to push it to a 4th, but the Thunder came out swinging in the 4th and finished off the Wolves 25-18 in what would be the final frame.

The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the Thunder was #14 Tecito Gansan, and for the Wolves #14 Pearson McGillivray. The Thunder will be taking on the Lakeland Rustlers in their next week matchup, and the Wolves will be up against the Augustana Vikings.
