Thunder finish their home season strong

EDMONTON, AB (October 22^nd, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) hosted the Portage Voyageurs for their final home game of the season. Portage played with integrity and regardless of the final score, limited substitutions, and injuries they continued to challenge the Thunder.

Concordia played with depth in this game as we saw many instances of different players demonstrating their skills in this game. Thunder dominated time of possession and almost never allowed the Portage Voyageurs to cross the half. 

Their best defense was a good offense in this game as Thunder didn't allow a single shot. Keeping the ball under control throughout the entire game. They were also able to finish their scoring chances consistently, ending the game with 11 goals from a wide variety of Thunder roster. In the end, the size, speed, and execution of Concordia's team sent their fans home happy on fan appreciation night.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #17 Hannah Cousins for the Voyageurs and #18 Caylie Rich, with two goals and an assist from your Concordia Thunder. Thank you, Thunder fans, for your dedication, enthusiasm and support. The Women's team will play away at the Kings' Eagles, Sunday afternoon to finish off the regular season.
