A Cohesive Team Effort Yields Thunder Strong Results

A Cohesive Team Effort Yields Thunder Strong Results

EDMONTON, AB (November 18, 2022) - Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder hosted the Ambrose Lions for a Friday night battle. The Thunder came together as a team offensively, winning the game 95-67 against the Lions.

CUE starts off strong in the first quarter getting inside the paint for the majority of the points in the first quarter. Thunder takes a commanding 18-point lead finishing the first 31-13. In the second quarter, CUE looks to widen the gap. We see the entire lineup coming to life and working cohesively, pushing their lead to 53-33 at the half. The Lions lost their roar in the third and Thunder took full advantage up 76-45 in the third. Regardless of the scoreboard, Thunder didn't slow down. They put in the work as a team and took the win with a final score of 95-60.

Head Coach Reagan Wood impressed by what he saw tonight says "This was our most complete team effort of the year. When we get contributions from all twelve players, we see great results". The One Team Sport players of the game were #11 Zenin Kadnar from the Lions and #16, Noah Julien, from your Thunder.

The next home game for the Thunder takes place tomorrow afternoon, November 19th, against the Lethbridge Kodiaks at 3 PM.
