Back and forth battle ends with a Wolves win

Back and forth battle ends with a Wolves win

EDMONTON, AB (October 28th, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed the NWP Wolves for the final game of the weekend. An exciting game that could have gone either way, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the very end.

The first quarter was mostly defensive rebounds, NWP has an early lead of 3 after a slow start. The second quarter was more fast-paced with quite a few points coming from outlet passes in transition. NWP pushed the lead to 29-23.

The third quarter found both teams mostly passing out to the arc and muscling into the paint. NWP finds a five-point lead heading into the fourth. The start of the fourth had NWP firing on all cylinders with the first dunk of the game. NWP amounts a 16-point lead before winning the game 66-51.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #20 Emmanuel Iloka with 20 points for the Wolves and #12 Milton Lendein, with 13 points from the Thunder. The next home game for the Thunder takes place on November 11th, where they will battle Olds College Broncos.
