Thunder walk away with the win after a tight finish

EDMONTON, AB (November 11th, 2022) – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder hosted the Olds' Broncos' which came down to a nail-biting finish. 

The first quarter showed a slow start for the Broncos with only one basket making it in in the first five minutes. Thunder on the other hand was lights out with the three-pointers having five threes in the first seven minutes. The Thunder lead 26-11 at the end of the 1st. The second quarter had the Broncos back on the horse trying to catch up in the game. The Broncos finding their way to the line frequently and shot well inside, Thunder with more three-point shooting and mid-range, the Thunder led 46-33 at the half. The fourth quarter had both teams trying to muscle their way inside with the Broncos having more success. Including a buzzer-beater three for the Broncos. The Thunder lead by 13 as the Broncos fight back. In the fourth quarter, the Broncos bring the lead down to 8 frequently, the Broncos out-rebounding and pushing their way inside every chance they get. The Broncos bring the lead down to two with one minute remaining. The Thunder win 84-80.

The One Team Sport players of the game were #13 Andre Fields with 19 points tonight for the Broncos and #18 Kyler Dutka 16 points for Thunder. The next home game for the Thunder takes place on November 18th against the Ambrose Lions.
