Thunder solidify their first place finish!

Thunder solidify their first place finish!

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder solidified their first place finish by closing off the season with a win against the visiting Kings University Eagles. The final score was 110-48 for the Thunder.

The Thunder came out strong, finishing the first quarter with a 13-point lead and kept that momentum going right through to the final buzzer. The 3rd quarter was a special quarter for our graduating player #9 Ryan McLaren, who jumped to 3rd place in ACAC all-time scoring. The Thunder were also able to hold the Eagles to 9 points, while scoring 27 of their own.

With this win the Thunder capped off their season with 40 points, with a record of 19-4, good enough for a first place finish. The Eagles finished off their season with 2 points and a 1-22 finish. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Eagles was #6 Malik Mate and for the Thunder was #9 Ryan McLaren.
