Thunder take down the visiting Vikings

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder played host to the visiting Augustana Vikings, in this Make Some Noise for Mental Health event, brought in a packed house to watch the Thunder took down the Vikings by a score of 80-52.

The Thunder took an early lead in the first and kept the pressure on, outscoring the Vikings in every quarter, starting off with 19-7 lead after the first quarter, ending the half with a lead of 35-18. The Thunder didn't let up and capitalized by shooting 40% from the field and 25% from the 3-point line.

The Thunder and the Vikings will face off again tomorrow in Augustana to complete their weekend series. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Vikings was #13 Elijah Schmuland, and for the Thunder was #15 Ronald Bacon Jr. who lead the game with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
