Thunder Come Out on Top with the Victory in a Nail-Biter vs. Briercrest

(EDMONTON,AB) In a thrilling matchup, the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder narrowly secured the victory against the Briercrest College Clippers. The game went down to the wire with the Thunder coming out on top in the final seconds 79-78.

The Thunder's offensive skill was on full display, with standout performances from several players. Hannah Mitchell contributed a double double, scoring 16 points and securing 10 rebounds crucial to the team's success. Rachel Harvey showcased her scoring ability, leading the team with a stellar 24 points and 8 blocks. Chloe DeKlerk also made a significant impact, scoring 17 points to go along with 3 steals and 6 rebounds.

Briercrest fought valiantly, with Asia Wells leading their scoring efforts with 16 points. They put continuous pressure on the Thunder causing turnovers in their favour. However, the Thunder limited the Clippers' scoring opportunities enough to get the victory.

With this hard-fought win, the Thunder continue to keep pace in the ACAC North Division standings. The team looks ahead to their next matchup on the road against Lethbridge College at 6:00pm on Friday February 16th. With this victory tonight, the Thunder have now won two games in a row and currently hold third place in the ACAC North Division with a 10-8 record.
