Clutch Victory: Concordia Women's Basketball Holds Strong Against Keyano College

(EDMONTON, AB) Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) faced off against Keyano College for the first of a two-game series at Ralph King Athletic Center this weekend. In a hard-fought match, the Thunder emerged victorious, securing a well-deserved 58-50 win.

The game began with both teams displaying strong defensive efforts, resulting in a close game the entire match. By the end of each quarter, both teams were never separated by more than 9 points. Concordia's #11 Rachel Harvey showcased exceptional skills, leading her team with 22 points, while also contributing on the glass with 7 rebounds and defensively with 1 block. Keyano College put up a resilient fight throughout the game, but thanks to Concordia's stellar team play from players such as #6 Jenna Rinsky (12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals) and #5 Hannah Mitchell (9 points, 9 rebounds), the lead was never in doubt for the Thunder.

The Thunder will be right back at Ralph King Athletic Center tomorrow as they take on Keyano College once again at 1:00pm.
