Thunder lose to the Kings in a Sunday matinee

EDMONTON, AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed the visiting King's University Eagles in Sunday afternoon action to close out their home and home weekend series. The Eagles started the game fast, and never looked back, as they downed the Thunder 3-0 to sweep the weekend series.

The first set started off back and forth, with the Thunder and Eagles exchanging rallies early. However, the Eagles took control of the set and never looked back, winning the first set 25-11. The Thunder looked to reverse their fortunes in the second set, and came out firing, but the Eagles withstood the push back and took the second set 25-17. The Eagles carried their momentum into the third set, taking it 25-14.

This game concluded the Thunder and Eagles home and home series from this weekend. They will meet again in February with the Thunder looking for revenge.

The Kahunaverse players of the game were #15 Jada Lea for the King's Eagles and #11 Kassidy Kowalski for the Concordia Thunder.
