Thunder fall short in tight match with the Eagles

EDMONTON, AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder took on the visiting King's University Eagles in Sunday evening action to close out their home and home weekend series. The game was hard fought, and went back and forth. Despite this, the Eagles held on to take the match 3-0.

Both teams came ready to play, resulting in a back and forth first set, but the Eagles held on to take the first set 25-21. The Eagles carried this momentum into the second set, putting the Thunder further behind as they won the set 25-14. The third set saw a huge push back from the Thunder as they controlled much of the set, and held the lead for the majority of the set. However, in a late surge, the Eagles won the set 25-23.

This concluded the home and home series this weekend between the Thunder and Eagles. The two teams are set to meet again in February where the Thunder will be looking to settle the score.

The Kahunaverse players of the game were #14 Jayden Hiebert for the Eagles, and #5 Wyatt Turnbull for the Thunder.
