Thunder fall to the Kings in Friday night action

EDMONTON, AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) Thunder welcomed the visiting Red Deer College Kings in Friday night men's hockey action. Despite coming out of the gate strong, the Thunder fell to the Kings 5-1.

The Thunder started the game strong early, but despite this, the Kings took an early lead and never look back. Despite starting with lots of energy, the Thunder found themselves down 2-0 after the first period. Concordia made a strong push back in the second period, but couldn't find the back of the net. Red Deer extended their lead and took a 3-0 lead into the second intermission. The third period again, saw back and forth hockey, and the Thunder finally solved the Red Deer goalie, but eventually fell by a 5-1 score.

The Thunder head on the road tomorrow to Red Deer looking for a weekend split with the Kings.

The Kahunaverse players of the game were #10 Chase Thudium for the Red Deer College Kings and #14 Keegan Tiringer for the Thunder.
